Intravenous Nutritional Therapy (I.V.) is a method of delivering Vitamins, Minerals, and other natural substances directly into the patient’s bloodstream. I.V. nutrition bypasses the digestive tract where many nutrients may be partially or fully lost due to poor absorption. I.V. Nutrition also creates higher than normal blood levels of specified nutrients, which have been shown in the scientific literature to be effective in the treatment of certain conditions. By directly administering nutrients to the body, the increased nutrient levels can provide an immediate therapeutic response by correcting deficiencies that may arise from a disease state. Our physicians customize a Nutrient I.V. Therapy program specific to each individual patient’s needs.
Depending on your specific condition and nutritional status, Our doctors will prescribe an Intravenous Therapy Protocol specifically for you. Some of the common nutrients are:
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), B Complex, B5 (Dexapanthenol) ,B6 (Pyridoxine), B12 (Cyanocobalamin), Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Gluconate, Zinc, Copper, Chromium, Maganese, Selenium, Taurine, L-Arginine, Glutathione, Glycyrrhiza, Arnica, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Phosphatidylcholine, Taurine, Alanine, Lysine, Tyrosine, Germanium, …..and many others….
We offer a sophisticated Micronutrient Lab test to determine which specific vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other micronutrients you are deficient in.
Nutrient status is a vital foundation of health. Each micronutrient plays an indispensable role in promoting optimal cell function. When some cells do not function at their best, the foundation of our health is compromised, setting the stage for the development of the disease. Identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies is an important step in the long-term maintenance of optimal health.
The I.V. Therapy is administered while the patient is lying down or reclining in a comfortable position. The treatment is facilitated by a Registered Nurse who specializes in I.V. Therapy. A very small butterfly needle is used to minimize any discomfort. The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 and a half hours.
Some patients experience a warm sensation in their chest or lower abdomen during the treatment as well as being able to taste the vitamins being administered. As with most vitamins, you should not have the vitamin/nutritional I.V. on an empty stomach.
Patients vary in the number of treatments needed, but most require infusions once per week during the first month of treatment, once every other week during the second month of treatment and then once every 1-2 months depending on their condition.
